President's Message

Bihar Merit Test Education programme is a Bihar level programme of Helping Educational Foundation, which is committed to providing basic educational help by scholarship programme of BMTE to needy and meritorious children. Helping Educational Foundation believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

Helping Educational Foundation’s educational initiatives by its Bihar Merit Test Examination include Middle school, Senior School, meritorious students, sometimes to needy students. It works for education for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children inflicted and affected with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.

Since its inception in 2019, more than 100 underprivileged children of district Bihar have directly benefitted from the BMTE Education programme and it will further continue with many more educational, livelihood, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights programme.

Many intelligent students often fail to make their dreams of higher studies a reality as education has indeed become a costly affair. So, today, the need for having scholarships is more important than ever before. There are a lot of public and private organizations which help students in need of financial assistance. In this article, Helping Educational Foundation Organizing a Scholarship programme Bihar Merit Test Examination into each district of Bihar which provide financial help to students. Right from middle school and senior school and right all categories are available. They are all conducted in various fields and scholarships are given, sometimes to meritorious students of scholarship exams, sometimes to needy students. Because it is focused on the only One whose recognition is important, the One before whom all hearts are open.

Today, BMTE welcomes more than 100 children in our scholarship programme and ensures them that they will guide and help him by Helping Educational Foundation to make his/her own vision into today educational environment, complete health care, a balanced lifestyle and an excellent education in the schools of Bihar, on the basis of the BMTE Scholarship.

In each BMTE scholarship exam, the children receive individual attention and care so that they can develop their capacities and live a fulfilling childhood dream. The focus on education in Helping Educational Foundation gives them all the tools to choose their future and gradually become empowered and independent.

The point of Bihar Merit Test Examination scholarship is not recognition by standards established in the wider culture. The point is to praise God with the mind. Such efforts will lead to the kind of intellectual integrity that sometimes receives recognition. But for the BMTE that recognition is only a fairly inconsequential by-product. Ultimately, intellectual work of this sort is its own reward.

I came across this amazing quote quite suddenly when I was looking for some information in the internet and realized how relevant it is for all of us: children, parents and teachers. There is never any point in the life of a person when he can sit back and say. “There is nothing more to learn, I can relax with the comforting thought that the universe around me is an open book. I know it all.”

Education is not just about the subjects that are learnt and taught in school. Becoming educated is not restricted to being in school and then in college, gathering certificates and feeling proud of oneself. It is a lifelong exercise that can be unbelievably exciting if only we wish to jump onto the train of experience and take a trip to every conceivable place on the earth. Now we know that this cannot be done literally, so how do we manage it, first in school and then as we go on through the journey of life?
